The Government has implemented a 5% increase in retirement pensions with retroactive effect from January 1, 2020. This increase benefits 600,000 pensioners.

Following the agreement of April 30, between the Government, trade unions and the CGEM (General Confederation of Moroccan Companies), the SMIG was increased by 20%, and the SMAG (agricultural), increased by 25% and will have to converge by 2028.
